GRTSoft Data Recovery can restore files lost due to corruption or formatting. It can retrieve lost data from FAT16, FAT32 or NTFS partitions.
Once installed, the program will detect and display the name of every unit found in your system, along with its size and the file system that it uses. You can then choose to perform a Quick (there is a typo in the interface, it says "Qick") or a Complete scan. After a while, Data Recovery will show you the deleted files found on the selected drive, including the complete tree of folders that contain to them. You can then select which entries you would like to recover, and the folder where you want to save the recovered files and folders. After you click on the "Recover" button, the program will save a healthy and working copy of the selected files in the destination folder.
The unregistered version of GRTSoft Data Recovery is pretty unusable, since it will be functional for just one day, and it will only show you the lost files that it might be able to recover. Regrettably, it will not restore even a single file unless you register your copy.
